This piece is inspired by an original postcard dated sometime in the early 1900's.

The burqa are of different designs. The most common one is a pure black one. The design of the burqa changes according to the area. For example, the Egyptian burqa is like a net with big holes with golden long tube between the eyes. But it shows the beauty of a woman instead of covering the face.
Materials
Pyrographic etching in plywood. Painted with water color, gouache and improvisational use of color.
Measurements
The painting without frame is 30 cm by 21 cm (11.81 inches by 8.26 inches). The painting with frame is 43 cm by 34 cm (16.92 inches by 13.38 inches).
